Cancer Insurance FAQs

WHY BUY INSURANCE JUST FOR CANCER:
About 1,437,180 new cancer cases were expected to be diagnosed in 2008. This figure does not include carcinoma or basal and squamous cell skin cancers. The National Institutes of Health estimate overall costs for cancer in the year 2007 at $219.2 billion; $89.0 billion for direct medical costs (total of all health expenditures), and $18.2 billion for indirect morbidity costs (cost of lost productivity due to illness).
* This may be more than your health insurance will cover. An affordable cancer plan helps with the extraordinarily
high cost of cancer treatment. *Source: American Cancer Society Facts & Figures 2008. www.cancer.org
